Expectations for 2017 as a Toronto DJ

Expectations for 2017 as a Toronto DJ

First off, thank you to all the wonderful people that allowed us, Sono DJ’s to perform at their events and weddings in 2016. We truly enjoyed working for people that present their expectation and allowing us to surpass them in my own creative way.

For 2017, I was inspired to start off with a BANG in the Greater Toronto Area. As of today, I am on my way to accomplishing my goals. I have made a short checklist of goals for my clients and myself.

1. Consistently update blog
I always found excuses to not post on my blog. Work, social life, family, etc. I realized I cannot make any more excuses since being a professional Toronto DJ (Especially in cities such as Brampton, Etobicoke, Scarborough, Vaughan, and Mississauga) is challenging. I cannot afford to be off my game anymore. 2017 will be better

2. Experiment with music
“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change” – Stephen Hawking. I found this quote in 2017 and I personally think this quote relevant for DJ’s. Being able to adapt to different situations is what separates the novice from the professionals. There are many factors I have to consider before we chose the playlist perfect for each event. Now that we able to create perfect playlist for each event, now we need to experiment with different music. We will expand our music library even more than any other previous year.

3. At least one event per weekend
In 2016, I had about 4-6 weekends when I choose not to work. I was not uninspired, just thought it would be wise to take time off. Not in 2017! I believe that I have not reached my full potential yet, so why stop? Every event that can help me improve, gain awareness, or provide quality service when needed I will attend. I want nothing less than to entertain people with impressive music that will inspire them to dance until dawn.

There you have it. Every year I aim to become better and I find this list great for my personal goals.
Sono DJ’s list of improvement for 2017. Feel free to comment your opinion.
